Omnipod 5 Pods are disposable components of the Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) system. Each pod is a compact insulin reservoir, filled using a syringe from the kit and applied directly to the body. Once activated, a thin cannula is automatically inserted to deliver continuous insulin without tubing.

The Omnipod 5 system with SmartAdjust™ technology automatically adjusts insulin delivery every 5 minutes based on continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data. Depending on predicted glucose levels, the system increases, decreases, or temporarily suspends insulin delivery, helping maintain stable glucose control. Bolus doses for meals and corrections are administered via the Omnipod 5 controller.

The wireless design provides freedom of movement and comfort during daily activities, exercise, and sleep. The waterproof casing allows use during showers or swimming. Each pod operates for up to 72 hours, delivering reliable and consistent insulin therapy.
